Our winery
Our winery was born from an old idea going around some people in the area. They were looking for the way to point out the value of the famous red wines from Rubiós and how to promote them.
Thus, in late 2003 the first shareholders laid the foundations of that idea and founded Señorío de Rubiós. Nowadays, the winery is composed by 100 shareholders working to put the wines from Rubiós in the place they deserve for their tradition, their varieties and their quality.
Señorío de Rubiós is not a common winery within the Denominación de Orixe (Appellation of Origin) Rías Baixas since it bets on the vinification with indigenous red varieties. Despite this, the white ones are also highly-regarded.
The winery is located in the subarea Condado do Tea and this fact has greatly determined its philosophy. Our main purpose is to recover and maintain the precious wine legacy of this region.
As we said before, we have had a clear commitment to the red varieties (such as sousón or pedral) from the very beginning. However, we do not forget about some whites ones that have been cultivated in O Condado historically. This is the case for albariño, treixadura or white loureira.
In addition to that, year after year, the winery is always ready to discover new wines, including rosé and espumosos (sparkling) ones.
